Hi I am a New Asian Beauty Guru on Youtube

So ever since I started to "do" Youtube, I have became addicted to providing quality and entertaining videos to my subscribers. Along the way I met some really cool friends and people who are really excited about seeing my next video.

So who am I? Well I go by the name "Wendiness", and this is a childhood nickname that sort of stuck with me throughout my whole life, and now it has it's rightful place on Youtube as well. I started Youtubing on September 2013, and posted mainly videos for Asian people who have monolids. I , myself is a monolid, so I thought other people who are monolids will be able to related to me the most somehow.

I guess I always had a passion for filming, and that passion transformed into making makeup videos on Youtube in a sort of precise edited version. Not your usual versions of makeup videos of course. My videos always had a story, a theme, a scenario, I guess I like to make videos come alive, it's like writing a book. I feel that if people are captivated by the story, then they are captivated by me and then further subscribe to my channel.

I would say my style of videos are short, concise and to the point. I think most people click on a video and probably just want to see the main highlights of that video, and usually the main highlights should be at the beginning of the clip.

A lot of things matter, the lighting, the backdrop, the filming distance, all of this play a major role on how the final products end up looking. For me, I usually film a total time of 10 minutes, and from there on, I have to cut out a lot of parts to narrow it down to under 3 minutes.

Be Very honest with you, most people will not just subscribe to you if you have a nice video, personality, how you act without edited footage really makes a big difference. It took me nearly 3 months to go from 0 subscribers to 70 subscribers. For most youtubers, this is not a bad start, but if you want to be the best in your field, you have to go over and beyond and make really fun and interesting videos :).

Also you have to be versatile with the kind of beauty related things that you can do. Yes we know you can do makeup, but can you also do DIYs, or maybe nails? The more beauty related things you can offer, the better off you are on being successful. A lot of people just upload a video, but very few actually MAKE the video.

If you get lazy at editing, and you get lazy at producing, or filming, it shows on camera. Everything you have on you, your hair, your earrings, your necklace all say something about what you are trying to let the reader know about you. After all, in film you only get a small window to perform, and the rest is all focused on the look you are trying to achieve.

In everything that you do, you have to remember to be the best in your field, to make something out of nothing, and to come from the bottom up. If you are passionate about something, you need to do research, you need to look into what works for other people, and how you can go over and beyond that to make it your own and do it better than them. This is the only way you can be successful :)
